It allows you to have the funeral service and memorial that you would like, as well as allowing you to fix the major costs at today’s prices. Aspects to be considered

It is useful that personal affairs are in order and we would recommend that periodic attention be given to the following:

A WILL

All aspects of the distributions of assets and the like should be reviewed so as to ensure that your wishes are administered according to your Will.

The Executor on the last Will must be notified immediately. If a Will cannot be located, the next of kin will then take on this role and should seek professional advice before attempting to finalise matters.

LIFE ASSURANCE & OTHER DOCUMENTS

Often these are kept in a safe place and it is a good idea to advise your family of where these are kept, in the event of your death. It is also advisable to keep a record of these with banks and solicitors.

BANK ACCOUNTS

Spouses should be kept informed of current bank accounts.

Burial: it involves the buying of a gravesite or crypt, the right to internment and opening and closing fees and maintenance. Lady Anne Funerals Sydney Home can assist with the purchase of these from the cemetery of choice. Costs will vary depending on the cemetery, we recommend you contact at least three cemeteries regarding prices.

Cremation: it involves the cost of cremation, preparing the cremated remains and the hire fee of the chapel. Again, Lady Anne Funerals Sydney staff will be happy to assist you with this process. The crematorium will call you to arrange memorialisation or collection of the cremated remains.

Memorials

This relates to the manner in which the deceased will be remembered and special consideration must be taken. This will be the place where the family and friends will be visiting after the funeral service.

A memorial may reflect the deceased, its peaceful surroundings and/or the cultural and religious identity.

Plaques, headstones or monuments should be considered and cost will depend on the individual budget, burial selection, cremation or crypt, religious considerations or any other special requests. Take the time to telephone three crematoriums to compare sites including location, price and perpetual care.

Lady Anne Funerals Sydney will be able to arrange all of these details for you.
